Ftarri 7th Anniversary Vol. 1

Ftarri has released four CDs to commemorate the 7th anniversary (in August 2019) of the Ftarri shop in Suidobashi, Tokyo. This first CD is a solo album by Leo Okagawa, a musician who creates collages with environmental sounds, analog noise and electronics. Okagawa has released recordings on CD and cassette tape, as well as digitally, on overseas labels including Glistening Examples (U.S.), NoiseUp, (Czech Republic), and Falt (France). Since 2017 he has also been active as an improviser on electronics, performing mainly in Tokyo.

This CD consists of two electronics solos (28 min. 30 sec. & 25 min.) performed in concert at Ftarri in January and June of 2019. Though improvised, the performances show careful attention to the arrangement of strong/weak and long/short sounds and the combination of multiple sounds, creating a superb overall structure. The album vividly demonstrates Okagawa's rich musical artistry.

東京、水道橋の Ftarri ショップ開業7周年 (2019年8月) を記念して、4枚のCDをリリース。本作はその第一弾で、岡川怜央のソロ・アルバム。岡川怜央は環境音、アナログ・ノイズ、エレクトロニクスを使ったコラージュ作品を制作し、Glistening Examples (米国)、NoiseUp (チェコ)、Falt (フランス) など海外のレーベルから、CD、カセットテープ、ディジタルでのリリースがある。2017年からは東京を中心に、エレクトロニクスを使用した即興演奏も積極的におこなっている。

本CDには、2019年1月と6月、Ftarri でのコンサートにおけるエレクトロニクス・ソロ演奏、2曲 (28分30秒と25分) を収録。即興演奏ながら、音の強弱や長短の配置、複数音の組み合わせなどへの注意が行き届き、全体としての構成力もすばらしく、岡川の豊かな音楽性を明確に示すアルバムとなった。
